By Lassen's vision is to share the Lassen brothers' design legacy with future generations. The By Lassen company was founded by the relatives of the Lassen brothers in 2008 and is currently headed by Søren Lassen, the granddaughter of Mogens Lassen. The brothers Mogens (1901-1987) and Flemming (1902-1984) Lassen are known as two of Denmark's foremost architects and designers. Both were pioneers of Danish functionalism and modernist architecture and have received numerous prestigious awards during their careers.
